My friend went to the US and got me a couple of stuff. I’d like to make a special thank you to my friend!! Really appreciate it!
Here’s my shopping haul! Let’s start with the drugstore items!!!
Let’s start with lipsticks!
Now for some Mascaras!
Stuff from Sephora!
So, unfortunately, some of my items like my Maybelline Color Vivids were not sealed. What does this mean? They were used in the store by probably someone who just wanted to get some free lippy on their lips without purchasing. I might be wrong but why would they use a brand new lippy? It’s a loss for the company if the product is ruined and it makes the consumer upset when they found out they bought a used item!! Yes, it does make me kinda upset because someone was being selfish. Here’s a close-up pics of some of my products which were used…
Hey there cosmetic companies, if you’re reading this, it would be great if could seal the products so it makes it difficult for others to “help themselves”. If you are buying, remember to ensure that the unsealed item is not used!
Well, there you go! All the stuff I bought. Reviews and looks will be coming soon!

Oh, the wonders of mascara. It lengthens and it thickens. I barely have any eyelashes so, I absolutely love a good mascara. As my eyelashes are fairly short and sparse, I do generally coat my lashes with lots of mascara. It is also important for me to have waterproof mascara. I get teary eyed during the day and due to the shape of my eye, my eyelashes get “tucked” under my eye lid (I have single eye-lids). What does this mean? Majority of my eyelashes are exposed to my tears.
I bought this mascara from Sephora in Asia. Unfortunately, they do not have Sephora in Australia, which is an absolute shame! This mascara is their own brand (homebrand, as they call it in Australia). The mascara is stated to be lash plumper. Does it plump? Slightly.. I personally have not found a mascara that makes a massive difference for me so far. (what’s the point of mascaras then???) Anyway, this mascara does lengthen and thicken slightly. Although so, this mascara smudges every single time I get teary-eyed. At the end of the day, it smudges everywhere! I constantly have to carefully wipe off the smudge throughout the day. One thing I absolutely love about this mascara, though, is the brush. It has a very thick and full brush. This allows me to coat my sparse eyelashes very easily. I usually use only 1-2 coats of this mascara because if I have any more coats, my eyelashes will start to clump together.
Here’s a tip, try to prevent yourself from putting the brush back into the mascara bottle as many times as possible (this includes “pumping”, meaning you pull the brush out of the tube of mascara and just before the brush comes out, you push it back in). There is bacteria everywhere, including in the air. So, when you do insert the brush back into the mascara tube several times, you’re drawing air into the product and bacteria as well. This is not good because bacteria loves a moist place to grow. Mascara is placed very close to the eye. This means that some of the product (including the bacteria) will enter your eye. This is bad because you can easily get an eye infection. NOT GOOD! You can’t hide an eye infection!!
As much as I love the brush on this mascara, there are plenty of other mascaras out there which have the same brush and is waterproof. I would personally not buy this mascara again because of the fact that it smudges and does not really “plump” my lashes.
