HAPPY MONDAY! hope you’re not suffering from massive “Monday-itis” today.
Lippy day today.. It’s the Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait from my recent shopping haul. Lip Butters were released quite some time ago but I only managed to get my hands on them recently.
This lipstick looks like lipgloss on the lips but it does not have the sticky feel of a lipgloss. It was slightly moisturising to the lips and wore for at least 2 hours before a reapplication is needed. The lipstick did not last after a meal and what was left was the gold shimmer. The colour of this lipstick is pinky peachy with plenty of gold shimmer. The colour is very natural on my lips with only the gloss and the shimmer showing. The shimmer is not particularly over-the-top. There was barely any pigmentation from the lipstick to my lips, which made it look more like a lipgloss.
This lipstick is moiturising and has the look (and not the feel) of a lipgloss with plenty of shimmer to add some pa-zazz. It is a great lipstick, however, for the price of almost $22 per lipstick, I personally feel that this lipstick is fairly overpriced.
Where to buy:
Most pharmacies, Coles, Woolworths (look around as some of them have special deals)
My friend went to the US and got me a couple of stuff. I’d like to make a special thank you to my friend!! Really appreciate it!
Here’s my shopping haul! Let’s start with the drugstore items!!!
Let’s start with lipsticks!
Now for some Mascaras!
Stuff from Sephora!
So, unfortunately, some of my items like my Maybelline Color Vivids were not sealed. What does this mean? They were used in the store by probably someone who just wanted to get some free lippy on their lips without purchasing. I might be wrong but why would they use a brand new lippy? It’s a loss for the company if the product is ruined and it makes the consumer upset when they found out they bought a used item!! Yes, it does make me kinda upset because someone was being selfish. Here’s a close-up pics of some of my products which were used…
Hey there cosmetic companies, if you’re reading this, it would be great if could seal the products so it makes it difficult for others to “help themselves”. If you are buying, remember to ensure that the unsealed item is not used!
Well, there you go! All the stuff I bought. Reviews and looks will be coming soon!
Have you bought anything recently? Share it with me!
Manicure Monday is back! To celebrate Kiss Goodbye to MS, I have decided to review a red nail polish!
Today, it is Revlon’s Nail Polish 551 Raisin Rage. This nail polish is a dark red nail polish. It comes in a standard old-school nail polish bottle, with a brush which I personally feel is slightly smaller than a standard brush. It has a tiny ball in the bottle which only makes noise when you shake it vertically (weird?). Application is smooth but can get uneven if not careful. The pigmentation is great where only one thick coat is sufficient if applied carefully and generously. With the 2nd coat of application, the colour on the nail is slightly darker than what you see in the bottle.
This nail polish is a basic dark red and I did not think there was anything special about it.
