It seems I like a lot of red on black. Today’s nail art is no different. It is more red and black! I really hope I did not do this nail art previously but it’s really simple to do!
Okay, it’s Friday and I usually blog about something about looks or the likes. However, due to an unforeseen circumstance, my camera is broken!! That means I can’t seem to take proper photos with me in it.
I can’t miss my usual Friday post, so I thought I’d do a review on a red lipstick. What better way to brighten up the Friday than a red lippy. Today’s red lippy is from Colour Theory called Flirt Alert. It’s a more orange based red lipstick, so it won’t exactly make your teeth look white.
Looks like the holiday mood has worn off.. slightly.. and it’s back to the usual Monday Manicure!
This Monday’s manicure is by Colour Theory’s Cherry on Top. This nail polish is surprisingly pigmented. One coat of this nail polish is enough for good colour! It’s also very smooth to apply. It gives a nice red colour which leans slightly towards an orange red.
This is an excellent nail polish with great pigmentation. Let’s not forget the price point!
AUD$4 for 6ml

Even after 2 weeks from coming back from my holidays, it seems to be particularly difficult to get back into my blogging schedule. I might still be in holiday mode!
Time to kickstart the engine??? I bring you.. Manicure Monday with OPI’s Cajun Shrimp from the mini collection Just Beachy. This nail polish is a vibrant red colour and it is very pigmented. I believe one coat of this nail polish is enough since it is extremely pigmented, although the 2nd coat does make it quite vibrant. The 2nd coat also makes it a lot glossier. This red leans slightly orange. Application wise, it is not as sticky as the other nail polish (La Paz-itively Hot) in this mini collection.
It’s a really pigmented nail polish that gives a nice rich vibrant red colour. As with the other nail colour in this collection, I’m loving the rich colour and it definitely gives me a summer vibe!
Just Beachy Miniature Collection for AUD$24.95

Do you like this nail polish?
Holy Moly! I never thought I could find a red matte lipstick that would be suitable for me. I now present to you the Illamasqua Matte Lipstick in Liable.
This lipstick is a matte red lipstick with (personally) a neutral undertone. The product itself is not very moisturising and can be quite hard to apply as it drags quite a bit. This can be quite inconvenient for someone like me who is on acne medication and has sensitive and very dry lips. However, I’m willing to let that all slide as this lipstick has great pigmentation, reasonably long wear and it looks really great on my lips. As with all lipsticks (or products in general), this one clings on to the dry parts of lips and stands out for all to see. The lipstick can be quite stubborn to remove from the lips.
Without further a-do.. picture time!

Although the lipstick is not very moisturizing, it is not very drying either. Application has quite a bit of tug and pull. However, the colour payoff is excellent, giving an excellent shade of red. This lipstick is also really affordable!
£16.50 (online) or AUD$25.00 (stores)
