Nail of the Day – OPI Suzi’s Hungry Again and OPI Oy-Another Polish Joke

I thought I would bring some summer cheer with a hint of party from the OPI Euro Centrale Mini Collection.  Just because the New Years and Christmas is over doesn’t mean the party is over!

I used Suzi’s Hungry Again and Oy-Another Polish Joke  for this nail colour.

Party Cheer

Time to welcome the new year with some party cheer!  Work hard, party harder, eh?

Stay Beautiful!!

Nail of the Day – OPI Just Spotted the Lizard!

Manicure Monday again! I saw this nail polish and was immediately taken by it’s colour. It’s like a dual colour – gold with a green tinge.

Just Spotted the Lizard! is from the OPI The Amazing Spider-man miniature set. Application of this nail polish is smooth was can get a little bit streaky. First coat of this nail polish looks like a sheer coat of gold nail polish. After 2 coats, the colour is gold greenish.  At certain angles, this polish looks green and on another angle, it looks gold and certain other angles, it looks a mix between gold and green.  The finishing is a metallic sheen – very sexy!

Conclusion:

The colour of this nail polish definitely catches the eye with its gold-dark greenish hue.  This colour is suitable for a sexy night out – one of those LBD nights.

Nail of the day – OPI Meet me on the Star Ferry

Back to the usual Monday Manicure?  Today’s manicure will be OPI’s Meet me on the Star Ferry.  The colour of this nail polish is a very dreamy midnight purple with quite a bit of purple shimmer and maybe a hint of gold shimmer.  Application of this nail polish is smooth and does not appear streaky.  The nail polish comes with a standard brush and those little balls in the bottle to help mix up the polish.  Upon first application, the pigmentation is not too rich.  You can still see a little bit of the nail on the first application.  I really liked the colour of the first application.  Upon the 2nd application, the colour on the nail is still not as dark as in the bottle.  I actually prefer that it was not as dark as in the bottle but personally, I did not like how shimmery it was.  It did have a nice gloss and a metallic sheen after the 2nd application, without the top coat.

Conclusion:

I like the final gloss of this nail polish however, felt that the glitter/metallic sheen was a bit too much for my liking.  It still is a great nail polish to add some zing to a night outfit.

AUD $19.95 for 15ml.
