Not another Monday!! Already!! and the the year is HALF GONE! Okay, maybe some glittery nail polish from The Face Shop will cheer you up?
I know I’ve been absent for awhile and I apologize for my lack of planning!
Today, I bring to you Antipodean Beauties Challenge – Mermaid…
Unfortunately, due to my inability to master lighting, the colours did not show up as well as in the pictures.
What do you think?
I thought I would bring some summer cheer with a hint of party from the OPI Euro Centrale Mini Collection. Just because the New Years and Christmas is over doesn’t mean the party is over!
I used Suzi’s Hungry Again and Oy-Another Polish Joke for this nail colour.
Time to welcome the new year with some party cheer! Work hard, party harder, eh?
To keep up with my recent nail summer theme, I decided to choose another summer colour. This time the nail polish is from the OPI 007 The Bond Girls Liquid Sand miniature collection.
I chose Jinx from this collection because it was a nice red with some glitter. Ohhhh boyyy, did this colour BURST and SPARKLE. This Liquid Sands nail polish is definitely one of its kind with so much sparkle that it just feels like a party on your fingernails. The sparkle itself does not seem overbearing like some of the other nail polishes with too much glitter. There is also some texture on the nails. I’m not too sure how to explain the feeling but it is rough like there is a lot of glitter sitting on your nail, or maybe more along the lines where you have a band-aid over your nail. The first application is more pink; but on the 2nd application, the colour of this nail polish is not so much red but leaning more on the reddish-pink-orange side with a lot of yellow/gold glitter. There is definitely no problem with streakiness (it seems I tend to have this problem with my OPI nail polishes) but it felt weird applying the 2nd coat since it was not the usual smooth surface.
This nail polish definitely screams FIREWORKS! I love the party flavour it brings. Its unique texture is definitely something to get used to but I don’t think I will have a problem.

Have you tried Liquid Sands?
So, my fellow beauty blogger Omega from Fashion Adjacent came up with an excellent idea for all of us Aussies and Kiwi beauty bloggers to get together and challenge ourselves each week.
This week’s challenge is … GLITTER!
Glitter can be a hard to handle sometimes. It can get everywhere if you’re not careful and the worse thing is, once you get it everywhere, you can’t get it off!!!! This is especially so when applying glitter to your eyelids and the fallout drops onto your cheeks. (Handy tip: do your eye make-up first before you put on your foundation. This way, you can still use make-up remover or face lotion/cream to remove the fall-out). I don’t particularly like to wear a lot of glitter because I tend to be a little heavy-handed and I turn out looking like a disco-ball.
So, how did I wear my glitter today… take a guess..
