You should always eat healthy. Plenty of fuits & veges, fair amount of carb etc etc.. But once in awhile, it’s okay to indulge in sweets. I believe in balance and that includes eating sweets (actually, any excuse to eat sweets will do)!
Over the weekend, I was craving some Semifreddo. So, why not make some. I googled the recipe and decided on the recipe by Martha Stewart. I changed the recipe a little to suit my taste. Here’s a pic of my work.
It was my first time making semifreddo and was not as hard as I thought it would be. The recipe however, was slightly confusing and I probably did not understand it well. The texture did not turn out to a smooth creamy texture and the alcohol was quite strong! On top of that, the ingredients were expensive! Amaretto is surprisingly expensive.
The taste was really good though (even though the alcohol was too strong for my liking)! I believe you could replace the alcohol with almond essence to make it more kid-friendly.
