HAPPY 2016 all!!! Sorry I’ve been MIA lately. The 2nd half of 2015 was rough for me. I was dealing (and still dealing) with some of the side effects of taking Roaccutane. That’s a post of its own and I’ve been taking awhile to write it since it strikes such a raw nerve. Anyway, new year, new things! Everyone has been showcasing their looks to welcome in 2016. I thought I’d do my share of New Year nails too, with Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel.
I was very impressed with the nail polish. The finish of the nail polish looked like gel nails. Almost everyone who saw the nails thought it was gel. The colour was nice and bright too (love love love – its the colour of my logo!). One thing I gotta say though is that the nail colour did not last more than 7 days, even though it did claim to last 14 days. Cracks started to show on the nails on day 5 and it started to chip from the edges on day 7. The brush is nice and plentiful, making it easy to apply. Just 2 coats was sufficient and the top coat was the icing on the cake. It was thick and glossy, giving the gel look.
The nail polish dried really really quickly. Even quicker than when I apply the quick dry drops. This was such a winner in my books since I tend to do housework after painting my nails. LOL! Smart move, right?
now.. on to the New Year nails! I topped the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel with Nail Inc Bling it On Feathers.
Nothing like little sparklers to ring in the new year!! How did you wear your nails??
Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish was sent to me for review. This did not affect my personal opinion on the product.
