Glamourflage Daisy Delight Lip Balm
Hello all! Sorry for the lack of posts on my blog. I’ve been a little bit absent because I’ve been really really busy at work and been training for my karate competition and then I immediately jetted off to Malaysia for my holiday!
Well, it’s time to come out of hibernation even though winter is well and truly here! The cold and dry weather is definitely different to the humidity and heat in Malaysia! (you think??) When Glamourflage Daisy Delight Lip balm was sent to me, I was pretty excited since my lips get really dry, particularly in winter. Plus.. who doesn’t love an Australian made product??
I’ve honestly never heard about this product until it landed on my desk. My first impressions of this prodcut is that the packaging reminds me of TheBalm Cosmetics. Both brands have similar packaging style with the sexy girl packaging and the sexy names. This lip balm has a gorgeous lady on the packaging with a lovely name. I mean, who can resist a Daisy Delight?? The size of the lip balm is quite generous with it being a bit bigger than a 50 Australian cent.
The product itself is average. There are a few things I like about it but there are a few things that completely turn me off. The biggest run off for me is the smell but to be fair, I’m quite sensitive to smells and some smells make me sick. This product smells like one of those fake lip balms that i received as a little kid with the crazy fruity/berry scent. You know what I’m talking about? The ones that come with those Barbie “makeup” playsets. The smell does fade after 15 -20 minutes. This lip balm doesn’t feel very moisturising but it does prevent the lips from getting dried out. It also has a lovely pink tinge that is not over-bearing and a slight gloss finish which makes your lips come to live. Great for winter since I look and feel quite dead. The product takes awhile to warm up in the case. I had to swirl my finger around quite a bit so that it is “liquid” enough to transfer from the pan to the lips.
This is a lovely lip balm. It protects your lips from getting dried out (although it is not very moisturising) and it gives a lovely pink tinge on the lips. Unfortunately, the smell of the lip balm really turns me off and I will not be re-purchasing.
